Lucille (Gemme) Pellerin, age 95, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2021 at Holyoke Medical Center. She is the surviving spouse of her husband of 29 years, Arthur L. Pellerin. Lucille was born in St. Alphonse, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Ethelbert and Corinne (Fleury) Gemme. Lucille was a former longtime resident of both Holyoke and Granby, MA and was currently living in Florida. She worked for many years as a Home Health Aide for the Holyoke Visiting Nurses Association. Lucille was a devout communicant of the Roman Catholic Church throughout her life. She was a devoted and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, music, going to the beach, and the RV life. She is survived by her beloved family: Jan Pellerin and his wife Carol; Marc Pellerin and his wife Deborah; Julie Richards and her husband Keith, all of Western MA; and daughters Jill and June of Florida. She also leaves eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and in Canada, a sister, Sr. Helene Gemme M.I.C., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alfred Gemme, Marie Perle Boutin, and Lucien Gemme. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, August 4th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Valley Parish Church, 33 Adams Street, Easthampton, MA at 11 a.m. Burial will take place immediately following in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley, MA.
