Lucy (Kisiel) Dziendzielewicz

Lucy (Kisiel) Dziendzielewicz, age 84, of Holyoke, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Holyoke Health Care Center. She was born and educated in Lublin, Poland, a daughter of the late Florian and Zofia (Blasiak) Kisiel.  Lucy came to the United States in 1956 and was employed as an electronic assembler for many years at Digital Equipment Corporation. She loved gardening and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and friends. She was a communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Church (currently Our Lady of the Cross Parish). Lucy was the widow of Waclaw Dziendzielewicz, who predeceased her on May 12, 2015.  She is survived by a son, Kasimierz Dziendzielewicz of South Hadley, a daughter Elizabeth D. Haley and her husband Michael of Westfield; two grandchildren, Jessica Dulaski and Michael A. Haley and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Lucy was predeceased by a son, Richard Dziendzielewicz, and siblings: Rysczada, Jerzy, Kazimerz, Barbara and Wladyslaya. Lucy’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the staff members of Holyoke Health Care Center for their care and love over the many years. They would also like to thank Hospice for bringing comfort to her final days. The Funeral will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 9:00 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lucy to Holyoke Health Care Center Resident Council Fund, 282 Cabot Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
