Manuel Moreno

On Friday, March 19th, 2021, at 7:35pm, Manuel Moreno, loving husband, father of three children, and grandfather of five, passed away peacefully at the age of 62 while surrounded by his wife and three children.

Manuel was born on December 8th, 1958 in Corozal, PR to Gabriel and Rosalía (Figueroa) Moreno. On August 18th, 1979, he married Dora (Figueroa) Moreno. They raised two sons, Waldemar and Mabriel, and one daughter, Leanese.

Manuel was a brilliant man with many talents. From carrying on his family legacy of being a self-taught musician, Manuel was also a skilled carpenter- specializing in the restoration of historic properties. He was known for his generosity toward others, sense of humor, and friendly personality. Manuel found joy and fulfillment in sharing his faith with everyone he met.

Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel, and his mother, Rosalía. He is survived by his wife Dora, his three children, Waldemar, Mabriel, and Leanese and their spouses, his five grandchildren, Denisha, Fabian, Jenzell, Wadeliz, and Luka, his nine siblings, Esteban, Juan, Moises, Rafael, Carmen, Francisco, German, Santiago, and Teresa, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 25th from 10 am to 12 pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a service in the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery West, Rock Valley Road, Holyoke. Please note that masks and social distancing are required for all services.
