Margaret (Guthro) Lyle

Margaret Lyle of Holyoke, MA, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Margaret was born on September 8, 1930 in Boston, MA. Margaret enlisted in the U.S. Navy Medical Corp after high school where she met her husband of 70 years, William Lyle. Since then, she and Bill have lived in their home in Holyoke. “Nana” enjoyed painting and gardening, as well as spending time with her family- especially her great-grandson, Mason. Margaret leaves behind her husband, Bill; sister; Louise; four children: Louise, Woody and his wife Lisa, Bobby and his wife Tammy, and Kamie; six grandchildren: Garrett and his wife Sarah, Matt and his wife Paige, Will, Andy and his wife Falecia, James, and Lauren; and four great-grandchildren: JJ, Mason, Lily, and Aurora. All services are private and are being handled by Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Lifecare, 575 Beech Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
