Margarita Santiago-Vasquez, born on November 17, 1955, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024. Margarita was known for her love of music, her enthusiasm for dancing, and her vibrant presence that made her the life of the party. Her greatest pride and joy were her three children: Manuel Rivera, Magleny Rivera, and Christopher Rivera. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren—Angel Rivera, Ariana Williams, Marvin and Z'Nyia Rodriguez, Rosana Rivera, and Angie Rivera—as well as her great-grandchild, Nina Rivera. Margarita’s infectious smile and love for life brought joy to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours for Margarita on Thursday, September 19th from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed immediately by a service at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in Forestdale West Cemetery, Rock Valley Road, Holyoke. Donations may be made in Margarita’s memory to Shriners Children's New England, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
