Maria Isabel Viscarrondo

Maria Isabel Viscarrondo, (73), beloved mother, wife, friend, aunt, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, born on April 18 1950 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, unexpectedly passed on August 19, 2023 surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. Maria was loved by many. She dedicated her life to her children. She lived for her children. She had an amazing heart of gold and everyone loved her. Maria moved to Holyoke in the 70s where she had continued her hobby that would later become her career. She loved cooking, her pleasure was feeding everyone and anyone. She would not go to bed until all her children were home, even if they didn't live with her.

In the mid 70s she met my dad, Domingo Torres Sr, where they continued building and strengthen our family. In the 90s they split and she moved to Westfield MA where she met a lot of great friends that became family. She continued cooking at La Pescaderia where she made great friends and clientele. In the 00's she moved to Springfield where all her children made a life of their own.

Maria is survived by her husband Adam Montero. Her Children: Israel Dellacroce wife Kristen, Carmen Dedrick, Maria Polimeni husband David, Lou Viscarrondo wife Treasure, Viamaris Cintron and Travis, Carlos Ortiz (deceased), Domingo Torres Jr wife Missy, Madelin Torres husband Miguel, Jose Torres wife Shirley, Victor Torres (deceased), Jesus Garcia, Javier Hernandez; Her Grandchildren: Michelle, Bianca, Melina, Brayden, Alyssa, Kristina, Nina, Kayla; Joseph, David, Jessica; Nathan, Isaac, Nicholas, Brianna, Mia; Antonio & Kelsea & baby, Isaiah; Domingo; Macho & Lissi, Ulani & baby; Jamarillys, Annaeys, Jayviana, Jayden, Audrey, Elaina, Jose LuisAngel and Jacob; Great grandchildren: Kinsley, Kalynn, Alex, Rayna, Tae, Riley, Paisley, Mia, Darius, Leo, and Pedro, and great-great-granddaughters, Audrey and Isabel.

Maria passed with no regrets!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 29 at 10:00am in Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street, Holyoke followed by burial in Forestdale West Cemetery. Visitation is Monday August 28 from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
