Marilyn E. (Goodwin) Lewis, age 83, of Holyoke, formerly of Malden, MA, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020. She was born in Malden, daughter of the late Merrill L. and Ethel F. (Spracklin) Goodwin and was a graduate of Malden High School. Marilyn worked as a Key Punch Operator for Northeast Airlines. She was a former member of Second Baptist Church in South Hadley, where she sang in the choir. Marilyn was a loving, caring and generous person and an advocate for animal rights and rescue. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, George E. Lewis, Jr., of Holyoke; a son, George M. Lewis and his wife Leosandra of Holyoke and two daughters, Deborah A. Lewis of Feeding Hills and Cynthia R. Lewis-Pine and her husband David of Holyoke; 4 grandchildren, Leomilla Fournier and her husband Brian, Caroline Azevedo, George M.E. Lewis, and Gunner E.E. Lewis, as well as two great granddaughters, Khloe and Haley Fournier. The family would like to thank the staff of Vero Healthcare for all their love and care. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery, Cabot Street, Holyoke.
