Marjory (Ramsay) Lafleur, age 94, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Mont Marie Healthcare Center in Holyoke. She was born in South Hadley, a daughter of the late David and Mary Jean (Leighton) Ramsay, and was educated in Chicopee Schools. Marjory worked as a sales clerk at Ridgewood Mills Fabric Store for many years. She was a 33-year volunteer at Rivermills Senior Center, where she served as Vice President of Friends of the Senior Center. For many of those years, she baked breads and made lollipops and donated all proceeds back to the Senior Center. Additionally, Marjory was President and Stage Manager of Swinging Senior Frank Jackson Productions for twenty years, and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Harvey E. Lafleur; two daughters, Donna Teehan and her husband Paul, and Joanne Lafleur; six grandchildren: Tammie and Robert Carroll, Kristen Chapdelaine, Jennifer Teehan-Sanford, Amy Cummings, and Adam Centerbar; five great-grandchildren: Hailey and Hannah Chapdelaine, Parker and Camden Sanford, and Seth Centerbar, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marjory was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Carroll, and her three sisters: Margaret Jochim, Jean Dowd, and Agnes Dzwonkowski. A calling hour for Marjory will be held on Friday, November 20th from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Please note that masks and social distancing are required. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjory’s memory to Rivermills Senior Center, 5 West Main Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
