Mark N. Normand, 73, of South Hadley, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 after a long battle with lung cancer. He leaves his 97 year old mother, Melide, his wife of 54 years, Suzanne; three children: Faith, April and Chris, and their spouses, along with six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his beloved dog Sir Walter. Mark was a United States Navy Shipman for four years, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired employee of the Granby School Department. Mark was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. In his honor he would like you to live life to it’s fullest and be thankful for every day you are blessed with. The funeral will be held Tuesday, September 24th at 9:00 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass at 10:00 am in Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street, Holyoke. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held Monday, September 23rd from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
