Martin L. Poirier

HOLYOKE:  Martin Poirier, age 90, passed peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord on Monday, January 10, 2022. He was a native of Quebec and had immigrated to the US with his family in 1961 in search of better opportunities. Family meant everything to him. He loved making maple syrup, going to Hampton Beach, traveling and enjoying nature. Martin was an optimistic lover of life. He was predeceased by his wife Odette Hallee. He leaves behind his three children. Nelson and Diane Delrosario, Bernard and Kathy Poirier, Jeffrey and Brigitte Carpenter. He also leaves his nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren with a seventh on the way. He will be greatly missed by his family. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 54 North Summer Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
