Mary Lou (McNairn) Bolko, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Mary Lou was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Agnes (O’Connor) McNairn. She worked in the cafeteria in Holyoke public schools for many years and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.

Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband Michael J. Bolko in 2017; her son Michael J. Bolko, Jr., a great grandson Julian Devine, and all of her siblings: James McNairn, John McNairn, Cecilia Spillane, and Dorothy Gray.

She is survived by her children: Patricia Beauchemin and her husband David of Holyoke, Karen Wilkinson of Ludlow, Susan Carmel and her husband Robert of Easthampton, and Kelly Przekopowski and her husband Jeff of Holyoke; a daughter-in-law Maika Dueitt; 10 grandchildren: Michael, Andrew, John, Joseph, Lauren, Rachel, Rob, Marin, Maia, and Timmy, and their spouses; six great-grandchildren: Sam, Nico, Jack, Owen, Julian, and Nora; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Ruth’s House and JGS Lifecare for the wonderful care they provided Mary Lou.

Family and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday January 29 at 9:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at 11:00am in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. There are no calling hours.
