Mary McBee Summers, 89 of Holyoke, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 9, 2025. She was born in LaFollette, Tennessee and built a beautiful life in Holyoke with her husband of 67 years, John C. Summers, who predeceased her in 2019. Mary is survived by her daughters, Karen Moynihan and Lisa Ellis; son, John Summers and his wife Sharon; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Summers; 19 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mary was predeceased by her sons, Mitchell Summers (2024) and Joseph Summers (1982); daughter, Sandra Williams (2013), and son-in-law, Jack Ellis (2017). Mary will be remembered for kindness, strength, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts. A funeral service will be held for Mary on Wednesday, November 19th at 9:45 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at 11:00 am at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
