MaryAnn Mercier

HOLYOKE

MaryAnn Mercier, 87, passed away on October 3, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Francis and Annette Flaherty. She was raised and educated in Holyoke, worked at the Holyoke School Department and Mont Marie. MaryAnn enjoyed reading and crocheting. She gifted her beautiful afghans to many family members. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Rick, Debbie, Nancy, Donna, Michael, Kathryn, Cindy, Mark, Janice, and their spouses. MaryAnn also leaves 35 grand nieces and nephews, 23 great nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law Diana, and a longtime friend Myrna. She was predeceased by her husband Normand, sisters Nancy and Franny, brother Michael, brother-in-law Jack, a nephew John Alan and grandnephew Casey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Home Service at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Holyoke. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
