Maureen A. (Forhan) Bussiere

Maureen Ann (Forhan) Bussiere, age 79, of Holyoke, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Catherine (Allen) Forhan and was educated in the Holyoke Schools. Maureen was a lifelong resident of Holyoke and worked for more than 20 years at Holyoke Community College, retiring in 2003. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church; a member and Past President of the Elmwood Towers Tenants Association. Maureen is survived by two daughters, Karen A. Roy and her husband Mark and Linda M. Devine, both of Holyoke; six grandchildren: Vernon and Adam Senecal, Justin and Matthew Roy, Kacey and Caitlin Devine; three great grandchildren: Derek, Jordyn, and Mason Senecal, and a niece, Maureen Higgins. Besides her parents, Maureen was predeceased by a sister, Catherine C. Higgins.  The Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:30am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9:00am to 11:30am.
