Michael James Carlin, Jr.

Michael James Carlin, Jr., age 55, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, a son of Michael J. Carlin, Sr. and Patricia H. (Redding) Carlin, was educated in the Holyoke Schools, and graduated from William J. Dean Technical High School. Mike worked as a Machine Setup for Hampden Papers and as a Landscaper for G&H Landscaping. He loved hunting and fishing, and was an avid fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Besides his parents, Mike is survived by his twin brother, James F. Carlin of Chicopee; his sisters, Stacie Carlin of South Hadley and Amy Carlin of Chicopee; his nephews: Kevin, James Jr., Brayden, Jayden, and Dominic Carlin, and Damian Carrizo; a niece: Jennifer Jones Alvarez; two great-nieces, Autumn Carlin and Ava Alvarez; and two great-nephews, August Carlin and Jordan Alvarez. He was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Ann (Carlin) Jones, and a niece, Jessica Jones. A Prayer Service for Mike will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 12 noon at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10 am to noon. Burial will be private.
