Michael John Delaney

Michael (Mike) Delaney of Granby Massachusetts, beloved fiancé and father, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2022 at the age of 49.  Mike grew up in Granby, Massachusetts. He was proceeded in death by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Stanley Sadakierski, as well as his father, John Delaney. He is survived by his sisters, Pam Delaney (Kevin Sheridan) of Simsbury, Connecticut and Sharon Delaney of Canton, Connecticut. 

Mike is also survived by the love of his life and fiancé, Robin Jekot, four amazing children who were the pride and joy of his life; Kayla, Justice, Hayden, and Kalli Martin, in addition to his beloved dog, Max. 

Mike graduated from Granby High School in 1991. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a manager at Roto-Rooter in Springfield, Massachusetts. Mike cherished his time with his family – always making everyone laugh and offering an ear whenever needed. He enjoyed trips to the beach, going to see live music, and cheering on his children. Mike was also an avid football fan who loved his home team, the Patriots.

Services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home at 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, Massachusetts.  Calling hours will be 3:00PM -5:00PM and 6:00PM – 7:30PM, followed by a brief service at 7:30PM.
