Michael Holubecki

Michael Holubecki, age 88, of Holyoke, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at his home. He was born in Krzeszow Kostopol, Poland, son of the late Wladyslaw and Helena (Domalewska) Holubecki and was educated in Poland. Michael had lived in Holyoke since 1984 and retired in 1998 as a machine operator at Nelson Wire Company. He was a communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Parish, and currently belonged to Our Lady of the Cross Parish. Michael was the widower of Janina (Stopa) Holubecki who predeceased him in 1983. He is survived by one son, Mark Holubecki and his wife Ada of Chicago; one daughter, Renata Żmijowska and her husband Marian of Poland; four grandchildren: Matthew and Anna Holubecki of Chicago, and Miĺosz and Michaeĺ Zmijowski of Poland; two great-grandsons, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Michael on Friday, November 12 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue, followed by burial at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass on Friday at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, from 8:30 to 10:30 am.
