It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mildred H. (Prasol) Beal, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Born on November 14, 1937, in Northampton, MA, Mildred was the daughter of John and Nellie Prasol, who preceded her in death, along with her younger brother John Prasol of Rhode Island.

Mildred earned her degree in nursing and worked for the Northampton State Hospital as a Registered Nurse for nearly 30 years. She was able to retire early and enjoy her time at home with her family. She loved camping trips and crafts at home, as well as cooking and baking the best chocolate cookies. She poured her heart and soul into her family, providing unwavering support and guidance always.

Mildred is survived by her sister, Nancy Blyda, and her loving children, Douglas Beal, David Beal, and Diane Quatrone. She will also be missed by her loving grandchildren, Weston Beal, Brittany Beal, and Destiny Beal. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

A calling hour will be held for Mildred on Thursday, July 24th from 11 am to 12 noon, followed by a brief Prayer Service, at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery West.
