Mildred (DeBarge) Wheatley

Mildred (DeBarge) Wheatley, age 95, of Holyoke, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Renaissance Manor on Cabot. Born in West Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Theophile and Eva (Chelefon) DeBarge. Millie worked for many years as a Machine Operator at National Blank Book, and worshipped at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She was the widow of William Wheatley, who predeceased her in 2008. Millie is survived by a son, Michael Kennedy and his wife Elouise; step-daughter, Lynn Wheatley-Beaupre; step-sons, William and Scott Wheatley, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son, John Kennedy. A Funeral Service will be held for Mildred on Friday, October 27th at 1:30 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by burial in Forestdale Cemetery, Cabot Street, both in Holyoke. Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Friday beginning at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children’s New England, 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104.
