Moira McKenna passed suddenly from natural causes on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025.  She was born in Springfield on July 2, 1979. She was a graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School, where she was a standout soccer player and achieved All-State recognition in her senior year.

She attended Springfield College, where she also played soccer, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Moira was employed for 13 years by Harten Financial, where she worked in various capacities for John Harten, Larry Blinderman, and Al Goodhind. John, Larry, and Al were bosses, mentors, and friends to Moira, and their families became her second family.

She will be deeply missed by her parents Michael J. and Anne Marie (Tormey) McKenna; her siblings Michael, Brigid, and Kate Pelaggi (Michael); her uncles Kevin (Joann) McKenna and Brian (Mary) McKenna, and several cousins.

She also leaves her beloved niece and nephew, Keira and Mikey; being their aunt was a source of great pride and joy for Moira. Her cherished dog, Orlagh, will miss the love and affection that Moira showered on her.

Moira was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and she was deeply loyal to her family. She had a wonderful singing voice, a talent for impressions, a dogged work ethic, a love of history, and a kind and generous spirit. She will be so deeply missed by all who loved her.

The funeral will be held Wednesday February 26 at 9:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Cross Church. Burial will be held in Saint Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday February 25 from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the funeral home.
