Muriel E. Gerbert

Muriel E. (Lange) Gerbert, age 86, of Holyoke, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Mont Marie Health Care Center. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Arthur E. and Milda H. (Miller) Lange, and was educated in Holyoke schools. Muriel worked as a Nurse’s Aide for many years at several area health care facilities until her retirement. She worshipped at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Holyoke. Muriel was the widow of Edward W. Gerbert, Jr. who predeceased her on February 20, 2008. She is survived by a daughter, Janice McLean and her husband Wayne of Chicopee; one son, Kenneth Gerbert, Sr. and his wife Kathleen of Spotsylvania, VA; six grandchildren: Daniel McLean (Pam), Jennifer (McLean) Rivera (Dan), Katie McLean, Kenneth Gerbert, Jr., Michael Gerbert (Jennifer), and Amanda Gerbert, and ten great-grandchildren. All services are private and being handled by the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home.
