Nancy M. Judge (nee Cadigan) died at home on November 9, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband of nearly fifty years, Jay Judge, sons Joshua and Andrew, and granddaughter Kinsley. The eldest of four, Nancy was born on December 28, 1955. As a lifelong resident of Holyoke, she graduated from Holyoke High School in the Class of 1974. Nancy was employed by Holyoke Medical Center for forty years and was also a Notary Public. Throughout her life Nancy was an avid reader —a trait she shared with her beloved father and siblings— and always enjoyed curling up with a good book. She also loved word searches and crossword puzzles. Family vacations were spent annually in Brewster on Cape Cod which were always a fun and entertaining time for all.
With the birth of her granddaughter, Kinsley, in 2014, Nancy and Jay made frequent trips to visit Illinois and Wisconsin where Nancy particularly enjoyed Lake Geneva. Nancy loved her family and enjoyed hosting holidays and other events throughout the years. Since 2015, following her mother’s death, Nancy and her family have lived in her childhood home in Goodyear Park. Nancy took great pride in living there and decorated it according to her excellent taste including several findings from the Brimfield Fair. Over the last decade she and her family made many lasting memories there filled with laughter and love sitting around the dining room table reminiscing and joking as her beloved dog, Myla, often rested by her feet or in her lap. In spite of Nancy’s extended illness, she faced it with strength, dignity, and grace. Nancy also leaves her sister Kathleen Winters; brother James and his wife Polly; niece Julia Winters; and Andrew’s girlfriend, Maggie Snow. She was predeceased by her brother John T. Cadigan who died in 1960 and her parents James M. and M. Rosalind (Moriarty) Cadigan who died in 1999 and 2014 respectively.
Calling hours will be held on Friday November 14 from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a prayer service beginning at 6:45pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
The family requests to please omit flowers and instead make donations in her memory to Cancer House of Hope, 1999 Westfield Street, West Springfield, MA 01089
