HOLYOKE
Nancy (Kiely) Shea, age 90, passed away peacefully at Day Brook Village Assisted Living in Holyoke on Thursday June 4, 2020. Nancy was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late James P. and Florence A. (Brogle) Kiely and was a 1947 graduate of Holyoke High School. She retired in 1992 from the Holyoke Housing Authority. Nancy was a longtime parishioner of St. Jerome Parish in Holyoke and was involved in the St. Gerard Circle, a local Girl Scout Leader, and a member of the National Association of Federal Retired People (NARF). She was predeceased by her husband Joseph B. Shea in 2008. She is survived by her children:, Laureen Shea of Leverett, MA, Martha Smith and her husband Richard of Wellfleet, Kristina S. Dziok and her husband Thomas of Southampton, and Brian Shea and his partner Megan Leitzinger of Niskayuna, NY; 7 grandchildren: Rebecca Kilgallon, Isaiah Robison and his children Xavier and Rhea, Dr. Catherine Cleland and her children Brody and Finn, Meagan Lee and her children Bennett and Hazel, Benjamin Smith, Victoria Shea, and Alexandra Shea; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her sister Constance Moore. The family offers special thanks to the staff at Daybrook Village Assisted Living for the loving care of Nancy over the last three years. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday June 10 at 10:00am in St. Jerome Church, 69 Hampden Street, Holyoke. Private burial will take place in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
