Nelson Sanabria, age 80, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Nelson was born in Rio Piedra Puerto Rico and has been in Holyoke for many years. He worked in the bakery at Atkins Farms and enjoy fishing and spending time with his grandkids. Nelson is survived by his wife Clara (Garcia) Sanabria; two daughters: Marilyn Sanabria of Holyoke and Sulma Sanabria of Miami, FL; four grandchildren: Joshua Diaz, Devin Vargas, Nathan Cruz, and Cesar Cruz; a great-grandson Isaiah Nelson Jesus Diaz; three sisters: Hilda, Dilma, and Elsa. His nieces Janet and Maribel, as well as his nephew Mito which he loved very much. He will forever be in our hearts as we cherish his memory. A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 31st from 5:00 to 8:00pm at LaSenda Antigua Church, 840 Chicopee Street, Chicopee, MA followed by burial in Forestdale West Cemetery, Rock Valley Road, Holyoke on Thursday August 1 at 10:00am.
