Normand R. Gregoire, of Longmeadow, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19th 2021 at the age of 88. He was born in Holyoke, MA, on September 26th 1933 to the late Oscar and Aldea (Fontaine) Gregoire. He earned his Associate’s Degree from Chaffey College in California. Norm proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1990 and retired as a SMSgt. Normand was an avid HAM Radio operator and loved to play the accordion and organ. He was the former director of Air Force Retires at Westover ARB, former president of the Sound of Music Club in West Springfield, and former secretary of the Mt. Tom Amateur Radio Association (W1BMK). Norm is survived by his wife of 20 years, Elizabeth C. Gregoire, Son Robert P. Gregoire and his fiancé Pamula Love, Daughter Catheryn A. Keeler and her husband Rob, brother Ronald Gregoire and his wife Wendreth, Niece Danielle Arsenault and her husband Joe, Nephew Curtis Gregoire and Brother-in-Law Timothy Hill. And finally, his beloved dog, Ringo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 2nd at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church on Holy Cross Avenue in Holyoke. Committal with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Shelter, 627 Cottage St., Springfield, MA.
