Peter C. Dolan Obituary

Peter C. Dolan, 78, of Granby, passed away on August 28, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on October 18, 1946 to the late Charles J. Dolan and Winona (Mutch) Dolan of West Springfield. Peter was a graduate of West Springfield High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. He was the purchasing manager at B.G. Mechanical Contractors for over 40 years, a position he performed with a true passion. Pete was a loyal New England sports fan. He was also devoted to his beloved dog, Whiskey. His most relaxing moments were spent at Dufresne Park in Granby with his special dog-walking friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, James and John Dolan. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Penny (Cote) Dolan and his son Ryan Dolan; his sister-in-law Alice Petri and brother-in-law Robert Incognito; nephews Stephen (Eva) Pardee and Jason (Heidi) Pardee, and niece Amy (Gary) Jock, and many friends. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday September 7 from 2:00 to 5:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, September 8 at 9:45a.m. Committal with Military Honors will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
