Ramon Rivera, Jr. died April 28, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center after a brief illness. Ramon was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico son of Ramon Rivera, Sr. of Holyoke and the later Carmen Lydia Marrero. He served in the United States Army National Guard for several years. Ramon was an avid New York Yankees fan and parishioner of Immaculate Conception Parish in Holyoke. He is survived by his father, Ramon Rivera, Sr.; 4 children: Ramon Rivera, Moses Rivera, Rachel Ri, and Michael Rivera; a brother, Jose Rivera; 3 sisters: Carmen Antione, Maggie Rivera, and Wilma “Sugar” Rodriguez and her husband David; one grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday May 8 at 11:00am in Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street, Holyoke. Visitation is Friday May 7 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will take place on Tuesday May 11 in St. Jerome Cemetery.
