Dr. Raymond “Jay” James Lynch III passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on October 11, 1949, to the late Raymond James Lynch Jr. and Gertrude (Murray) Lynch. Jay was predeceased by his sisters Martha and Cynthia Lynch. He is survived by his children: Meghan Harrison and her husband Mark, Danielle Boule and her husband Brandon, RJ Lynch and his wife Becky, and Kelly Colflesh and her husband Dan. He leaves behind his grandchildren: Kaelyn, Brenna, and Maeve Harrison; Emily Lopez; Declan Boule; Biannca and Anika Colflesh; and Lily, Isabelle, and Penelope Lynch. He is also survived by his siblings Ellen Sullivan, Joan Claffey, Christopher Lynch, Martha’s partner Kate Albrecht, Michael Lynch, and Peter Lynch and his wife Francesca, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Jay spent much of his professional life as a chiropractor in Holyoke and Northampton, where he built long-standing relationships and cared deeply about his work and those he treated. In retirement, he took the opportunity to travel widely and explore the world. From his time with the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers to his revelry at Burning Man, he embraced experiences that reflected his wide-ranging interests and sense of adventure. He appreciated good conversation, time with family, and the chance to drop by unexpectedly. Jay was someone who left an impression on those he met. He remained curious about the world throughout his later years and never stopped exploring. Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, Holyoke. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association for Dementia Research.
