Raymond T. Mitchell

Raymond T. Mitchell, age 48, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 11, 2024. Raymond was born in Holyoke, son of Sandra (Baceski) Mitchell and the late Raymond F. Mitchell, and was a 1994 graduate of Holyoke High School where he proudly played on the football team. He was most recently employed by Holyoke Public Schools. Ray was a well-known personality in Holyoke and will be missed by many- everyone knew his name. He was an avid music fan, especially the Grateful Dead, Phish, Bob Dylan and many more. Ray is survived by his mother, Sandra Mitchell; his aunts and uncles: Maureen (Mitchell) Tindell, Betty Mitchell and her husband Bill Foster, William Mitchell and his wife Darlene, Nancy Kozera, and Jospeh Baceski and his wife June as well as several cousins and many friends. The funeral will be held on Tuesday March 19 at 9:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation is Monday March 18 from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the funeral home.
