Regina (Jean) Passo, 101, of Longmeadow and Holyoke, MA, passed away peacefully on -July 3, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at The JGS Lifecare Nursing Home in Longmeadow, MA. Born on December 10, 1924, in Rochester, New York to the late Morris DeMayo and Sarah Camhi DeMayo. Regina was a Holyoke resident for more than 70 years. She was the loving wife to the late Abraham Passo for over 61 years. She is also predeceased by her sister Molly Taustein and son-in-law David da Rosa. Regina is survived by her younger sister Sylvia Zavlek, her children Michael Passo and his wife Norma of West Hartford, CT, Jeffery Passo and his wife Eileen of Fort Myer, FL, Claire Passo da Rosa of Franklin, NC, four grandchildren, Dr. Marc Passo and his wife Julie of Denver, CO, Ellen Passo Shaw, RN and her husband Jeffery Shaw of West Hartford, CT, Jillian Passo Danishevsky and her husband Steven Danishevsky of Longmeadow, MA, and Lindsey Passo Schoenberg of West Hartford, CT. She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews and nine great grandchildren. Regina moved to Holyoke with her husband in 1946. She was a loving and caring mother to her three children and did volunteer work for the Cancer Society and Food Kitchens. She eventually went to work as a teacher’s aide and worked with Down Syndrome children. Her love and patience with these children were exceptional. After her retirement, she volunteered at The JGS Lifecare Nursing Home. She was an avid reader and read two to three books a week. She also enjoyed her time at the Holyoke Senior Center.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, at 12:00pm at the Rodphey Sholom Cemetery located on Pendleton Avenue in Chicopee, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to (JGS, Rodphey Sholom, or the charity of your choice) in memory of Regina Passo. Luncheon will follow.
