Richard P. Cauley

Richard P. “Rick” Cauley, age 57, of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Holyoke, a son of Henry and the late Anne (Brown) Cauley and was a graduate of Holyoke High School, Holyoke Community College, and Westfield State College. Rick was a 28-year supervisor for the United States Postal Service and had lived in both Easthampton and Southampton before returning to live in Holyoke. He was a member and past president of NAPS and a member of Holyoke Lodge of Elks #902. Rick enjoyed cheering for the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, as well as all of his children’s sports teams which he coached. Besides his father, Henry R. Cauley of Holyoke, Rick is survived by his wife, Janice (Lemoine) Cauley; his former wife, Linda Piper, who is the mother of his four children: Andrew W. Cauley of Worcester, Caitlin R. Cauley of Danvers, Elizabeth M. Cauley, of Holyoke, and Bridget A. Cauley, of Southampton; three brothers: Daniel R. Cauley and his wife Kathy and their son Brendan of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Robert F. Cauley of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Edward J. Cauley and his wife Dina and their daughter Isabella of Belchertown; two step-daughters, Kara Canata of Holyoke and Kelsey Canata of Salem; and many cousins and friends. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 8:45 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Patrick Chapel of Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery West, 210 Rock Valley Road. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
