Richard P. Czerwiec

Richard P. Czerwiec, age 71, of Holyoke passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from Covid at the Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, a son of the late Stanley J. Sr. and Amelia (Porebny) Czerwiec. He was a graduate of Mater Dolorosa School and a graduate of Holyoke High School. Richard worked for National Blank Book-Avery Dennison. He was a member of Mater Dolorosa Church until the merger and is a current member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Holyoke. For years he was an avid candlepin bowler at the Holyoke Bowl-O-Drome, he played golf and enjoyed watching golf, football and baseball on TV. Richard is predeceased by his sister-in-law, Irene T. Czerwiec. Richard is survived by his brother, Stanley of South Hadley, his nephews Keith of Holyoke, Daniel and his wife Kathy of Feeding Hills along with his grandnieces Lainey and Marin of Feeding Hills.  The funeral will be held at 10:30am on Friday, April 16, 2021 from the Barry Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 9:15am until 10:30am. Burial will follow at the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mater Dolorosa School, 25 Maple St. Holyoke, MA 01040 OR Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
