SOUTHWICK

Robert L. Furlani, 83, of Southwick, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2020 at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home following a short illness. He was born in Springfield to the late Louis & Luba (Drake) Furlani. Bob served in the US Navy, aboard the USS Yosemite. He then became a lineman; he spent several years at South Hadley Electric. “Ranger” worked at Northeast Utilities for most of his career; especially the “trouble job”. He also enjoyed hunting, skiing, and walks in the forest. He leaves his partner, Donna Potter; his children Bob Jr & Kathy (Marcinek); grandchildren Jeff Marcinek and Katie Prater (TN), and a great-granddaughter.

The family wishes to thank the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home 2North staff for providing loving care despite his antics. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home dementia unit. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
