Robert J. LaMontagne

Robert J. LaMontagne, 82, of Wilbraham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center with his loving family by his side.  He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Emery and Mary (Cavanaugh) LaMontagne.  Bob worked for many years as an Administrator at Cathedral High School and West Springfield High School after a brief period of employment at Zero Corporation.  He also worked part time for Sears as a Service Writer for many years and as an Auditor for various businesses throughout the area.  He was a parishioner of St. Cecilia Church in Wilbraham.  Robert is survived his loving wife of 51 years, Ann Marie (Stolba) LaMontagne; his son, Glen LaMontagne and his wife Christine of Wilbraham; a daughter, Michele Coughlin and her husband Michael of Middletown, CT; five grandchildren:  Ashley DiSanti, Collin LaFramboise, Tyler LaMontagne, Alyssa LaMontagne and Ryan Coughlin; a sister-in-law, Mary LaMontagne and many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ronald E. LaMontagne and his sister, Shirley D’Amour Shea.  The Funeral will be held Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham MA.  Burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to Alzheimer’s Association, 264 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
