Robert S. Miller

Robert S. Miller, 78, of Holyoke, passed away at home on Sunday, September 3,2023 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Holyoke on September 26, 1944, the son of the late Arthur G. and Henrietta (Klekotka) Miller. He attended Holyoke schools and owned and operated R & R Auto Sales /Dunn-Rite Auto Covers on Commercial Street in Holyoke for 44years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially on holidays and at parties, and his hobbies were golfing and cars. He is survived by his loving partner of 23 years, Karenann Garron, his six children: Robert Miller Jr., Robin Hernandez and husband Juan, Steven Miller and wife Deborah, Sherry Sorbi and husband Randy, Kristen Lambert and her partner Paul Ducharme, and Lauri Lussier and husband Scott, as well as a stepson, Miguel Hernandez.  He will be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren: Juan (Petee), Derek, and Shania Hernandez, Robert III, and Mariah Miller, Meaghan and Nicolas Sorbi, Kaityln and Karissa Lambert, Ryan Lussier; 7 great grandchildren, a sister, Patricia Marshuk and several nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Marilyn Baillargeon and husband Pete. The funeral will be held Friday, September 8th at 10:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by committal prayers at 12:00 p.m. at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, Pittroff Avenue, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
