Robert J. Peltier Obituary

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Robert (Bob) James Peltier, 59, of South Hadley, MA, who departed this life at home on March 1, 2025. He will be remembered as a compassionate, caring, and loving husband, whose warmth, kindness, and consideration touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Born on December 26, 1965, in Fort Meade, MD, Bob is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Bridget (Shea) of 31 years. Bob is the cherished son of Jean Caron (David) of West Springfield, MA and his father James Peltier of Agawam, MA. He was raised in Springfield and graduated from Agawam High School in 1983.  Bob was a devoted family man who recently retired from the USPS Bulk Mail Center after 37 years of service, where he formed many lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike.

Bob is survived by his sister, Sandra Fuls (Andrew) and their sons Kyle, Justin, and Derek of Bernardsville, NJ; his brother, Brian Peltier and his life partner Elena Arietta of Hatfield, MA, his sister-in-law Tracy Circosta and her sons James, Patrick, and Anthony. Bob is also survived by his uncle, Ralph Symington (Linda) of Groveland, MA, his aunt, Mary Ann Aresenault of FL, his lifelong friend Stephen Bresett (Alice) of West Springfield, MA, and many more aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to be named.

Bob’s life was centered around his love for his family, sports (a long-suffering fan of the Buffalo Bills), music, and his home which he shared with his wife and three spirited dogs, Kassidy, Jodie and Jubilee. He took great pleasure in working around his home and enjoying the company of those closest to him. He had a great appreciation for the simple joys of life and was known for his ability to make others feel valued and heard.

Bob will be remembered as a self-sacrificing soul who was warm, kind, and caring. He had a natural gift for making people feel loved and accepted. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kind soul, generous heart, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. The family asks for prayers for the repose of Bobs eternal soul.
