Roger Lee Fillion of Southampton peacefully passed away on March 15, 2025. Born on June 26, 1944, in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Homer and Mildred (Stebbins) Fillion. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1963. Roger worked for Avery Dennison for over 30 years as a machinist/mechanic. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, camping, bird watching and riding his Harley Davidson with his buddies. Roger loved country music and playing cards daily with his wife. He was a jack of all trades and took much pride in the building of his home in Chester, where he resided for 13 years. Roger is survived by his wife, Lora (Hamelin) Fillion of 35 years; his son, Rick DiSanto and his wife, Katie; his daughter, Robin Ziemba and her husband, John; his youngest daughter, Erica Shlosser and her husband, David; his grandchildren: Ashley Barry, Cameron DiSanto, Colin and Gavin Shlosser; his great-grandson, Callan Barry and his beloved cat, Smokey. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard, Donald and Gerald. Roger was a man of a few words, but friends and family will fondly remember that look in his eye just before he delivered a zinger that amused everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Calling hours will be Monday, March 24, 2025 from 11am-1pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street in Holyoke.
