Roger J.  Fortin, Jr., age 75, of Holyoke, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 with his son by his side. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Roger and Doris (Lafleur) Fortin. Roger was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1971 to 1974.  He was employed by the Holyoke Gas and Electric until his retirement where he made many friends. Roger gave 100% to whatever he was passionate about: skiing, biking, rollerblading, but his family came first his entire life. He is survived by his beloved children, Paul Fortin and Annie Fortin, and his sister, Michele Duval. Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (Roberge) Fortin, in 2022, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ralph Ferguson. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service with Military Honors on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, in Agawam.  Memorial contributions may be made in Roger’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Road, Holyoke, MA 01040.
