Sandra P. Pratt

Sandra P. Pratt, age 78, of Holyoke, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Genesis Center of Westfield. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Robert L.  and Flora (Provo) Pratt, and graduated from Saint Michaels’s High School in Northampton. Sandra attended UMASS Amherst, and received both Bachelor and Master degrees in Education from the University. She went on to work as an educator at the NY City Public School for the Deaf until her retirement in 1998. She loved the New York City life and enjoyed the museums and Broadway performances that city life offered. Sandra loved to travel and traveled throughout the United States and parts of Europe.  Although she never did get to Egypt, she was very much interested in Egyptology and the Egyptian culture.  She moved to Massachusetts in 2013 and resided at Armbrook Village Senior Living in Westfield until 2020. She is survived by her sister, Susan L. LeDuc of Holyoke; her nephew, Jason LeDuc and his wife, Reem of Westfield, her niece Robin Keeney of Hatfield and seven great nieces and nephews:  Eyad, Lanna, Aden and Lianne LeDuc of Westfield;  Hunter and  Remington Polak-LeDuc and Alexander Keeney of Hatfield.  She also leaves behind several cousins from the Massachusetts and Connecticut areas.

 A funeral service will be held for Sandra on Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 AM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by burial in Saint Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
