Sarah M. "Sally" (McDonnell) Moore

HOLYOKE

It is with great sadness that we announce that Sarah Mary "Sally" Moore (neé McDonnell) Passed away on Monday April 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Sally Was born in Holyoke, on December 8th 1938 to her late parents Paul Edward and Rita Theresa (neé McCarthy) McDonnell of Holyoke. Sally graduated from Holyoke High School. Sally met her Husband Edward John Moore Jr of Newport RI. Sarah and Edward were married on December 31 1960 at Holy Cross Church in Holyoke by the late Reverend John J Sexton. Sally worked as a sales associate at Steiger's for 17 years until its closure. From there Sally retired and spent many of her days with her Grandchildren. In her free time, she also enjoyed going out and spending time with her Late Husband of 60 years Edward John Moore Jr.

Sally was predeceased by a son Edward John Moore III, and her three surviving children Judith and son-in-law Tony Fernandes, daughter Joyce and son-in-law Michael Dion and son Edward John IV and daughter-in-law Joy Moore. Sally also leaves behind four grandchildren who referred to her affectionately as "Gimmie", Megan, Shannon, and Liam Dion, and Lianna Moore. Sally also leaves behind three Siblings Mary Orr, James McDonnell and, Helen Jeter. As well as late siblings Rita Theresa "Terry" Cournoyer, Paul McDonnell, John McDonnell, Kathleen McDonnell, and Michael McDonnell.

All services were private and burial was held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Blessed Sacrament Church located at 1945 Northampton Street in Holyoke Massachusetts.
