Shirley L. (Griffin) Bolduc, age 91, a lifelong Holyoke resident, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late John J. and Edith D. (Andrews) Griffin, and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. She worked as an inspector at the New England Etching Company of Holyoke for many years, and also enjoyed working many functions at the Wherehouse? in Holyoke alongside, her partner, Charles Kelly. Shirley was proud of her Irish heritage, and was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians and joined them in the parade march at 72 years old. She was a communicant of Saint Jerome church and a member of the rosary prayer group. Shirley is survived by five children: Harvey Lussier of Florida, Robert Lussier of Holyoke, Maria Dube of Texas, Maureen Benoit of Belchertown and Richelle Bolduc of Ware; grandchildren: Stephanie Rummel, Brian Lussier, Dennis Dube, Dawn Dube, Monique, Beaudry, and Nathan Benoit, along with her great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and siblings, Shirley was predeceased by a daughter, Roxanne Brouillette, and her life partner of more than 35 years, Charles R. Kelly, Jr. who passed in 1996. The funeral will be held Thursday, December 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Shirley may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham MA 02452.
