Stacia F. (Wilkinson) Moriarty, 81, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Rutland, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Stacia (Frazier) Wilkinson. Stacia lived in this area for many years and was a retired employee of the medical records department at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home. She had a passion for gardening, listening to classic country music, caring for others, and enjoyed sightseeing. Stacia was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Moriarty. She is survived by son, James Snide and his partner Carol Colson of Westfield, MA, son Jeffrey Snide of Chester, VT, daughter Wendy Ebelt and her husband Tom of Davison, MI, son John Snide of East Granby, CT; 12 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. In recent years, Stacia shared her life with her beloved partner, Frances Rousseau of Chicopee, MA. She was predeceased by two sons, Brian and Wayne Snide, and a daughter, Christine Woodin. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18th, at 9:15 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Fairview. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery, Cabot Street, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. ________________________________________
