Stanislawa (Orzol) Kucinski

Stanisława (Stella) Kucinski passed away peacefully at her home in Holyoke, MA, surrounded by her loving family, on the evening of May 25, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1941, in Żelazno, Poland. The daughter of Stanisław and Eleonora Orzol, Stella immigrated to the United States with her parents and siblings in December 1962. After settling in Holyoke, she made a brief return to Poland, during which she married her beloved husband, Jan, who predeceased her in 2021. A hard-working individual with unwavering persistence, she held several roles throughout her career, most notably at National Blank Book in Chicopee — later Avery Dennison — where she retired in 2008. She is reunited in eternal life with her parents and husband, and is survived by her daughter Danuta (Donna) Kucinski; her son Mariusz (Mark) Kucinski and his wife Colleen (O’Brien) Kucinski; her grandson Aleksander Kucinski and his fiancée Hannah Berard; her grandson Gregory Kucinski; her brother Walter Orzol; and her sister Genevieve Niziol; along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces. Stella will forever be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, devotion to family, love of cooking and gardening, profound sense of selflessness, and heartfelt generosity. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 9:00 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Ave., both in Holyoke. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours for Stanisława will take place on Monday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holyoke VNA & Hospice Life Care.
