Stephen Nelson

Stephen Nelson, 35, of Holyoke, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2023. He was born in Springfield on March 1, 1988 and was educated in Chicopee Public Schools. Stephen was an employee of Amazon and worked locally in Holyoke. Stephen was a fitness enthusiast and spent much of his free time training with friends at his local gym. He will be remembered for his lighthearted and humorous personality and his willingness to assist anyone in his life who may be in need of help. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Stephen and Janice Donoghue of Holyoke, and his mother, Kathleen Donoghue of Chicopee. Stephen is survived by his brother, Marcus Nelson of East Greenwich, Rhode Island; his brother, Myles Donoghue and his husband Daniel Pasquale of Weymouth; and his sister, Shawna Nelson and her partner Garnell Meade of Springfield, as well as his nephew, Gavince. A Graveside Service will be held at Saint Jerome Cemetery in Holyoke on Thursday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke, PO Box 1338, Holyoke, MA 01041.
