Theresa "Terry" Allen passed away at Mass General Hospital on Feb. 3rd 2026 surrounded by her wife and family. She was born on July 8th, 1960. Raised and schooled in Ludlow, MA. She then graduated for STCC as a Certified Surgical Technician. She was employed at Baystate/Noble in the OR for 43 years before leaving in November due to illness. She enjoyed all sports but especially her Patriots, camping and traveling. Especially when the beach was the destination. Her favorite place was PTown and spent a lot of time with her wife & friends. She loved the Casinos especially Saturdays spent with her mom. She was a proud member of the A.L. Post 325 Women's Auxiliary in Holyoke, for 22 years, the last 8 as Sergeant at Arms. She brought light and love to any room. Her big smile & sense of humor brought joy and happiness to anyone who knew her. Her favorite phrase "Live Life to the Fullest" and she did just that. Her love & passion for life lives on in all of us. A beautiful person who will be truly missed. Terry is survived by her wife of 29 years, Colleen Holtan, Her mom Patricia "Pat" Allen of Ludlow, sister Kathy Allen (Joe) of Florida, David Allen (Ann) of Florida, her mother-in- law, Bonnie Holtan of Holyoke, Sister in laws, Tammy Schmidt (Carl), Theresa McKay and Kim Kennedy (Marc). She leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews any many many friends but especially Kim & Kris Meunier and Eva Boyer. Predeceased by her father, William "Bill" Allen & her father- in- law, Tim Holtan. A service will be held on Wednesday, February 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers Donations can be made to Rays of Hope (BSH).
