Theresa “Terry” (Rosinski) Kendra, 66, passed away suddenly at home on December 13, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Terry was born on February 6, 1954, the daughter of the late Constance T. (Fournier) Rosinski, and Chester J. Rosinski. Terry lived in Chicopee her entire life. She graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School and worked for many years as a nurse’s assistant before retiring from Hawthorn Services. Terry was a Girl Scout Leader in her early years, and enjoyed summers at Mohawk Beach Estates. She was passionate about knitting and crocheting, and had an innate ability to make people laugh! Terry was predeceased by her husband Pete Kendra. She leaves her two sons, Shawn Demears and his partner, Kelly Mecteau, her precious granddaughter, Alannah Mae, and Timothy Demears, whom she resided with in her later years. Her sisters, Janice Daly (Jeff) of West Springfield, Jeannie Kenyon (Pete) of Forest Park, Paula Heath of Springfield, and her brothers: Donald Rosinski (MaryAnn) of Vernon, Vermont, David Rosinski of Chicopee, Richard Rosinski of Miami, FL, William Kuczirka (Stephen) of Ledyard, Conneticut; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Cecile Goulet. Relatives and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial for Terry on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 12:30 pm in Saint Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA 01020. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA 01101. Please note that masks and social distancing are required and that building capacities have been reduced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc School 587 Grattan St, Chicopee, MA 01020.
