Thomas G. Lawler, Jr., age 73, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021 at Fitchburg Healthcare with his loving family by his side. Tom was born in Holyoke, son of the late Thomas G. and Janet (Burke) Lawler, Sr. and was a graduate of Holyoke Trade School. He was the proud proprietor of Lawler Insurance in Holyoke for many years. Tom was a very proud Holyoker, supporting many local events and youth sports programs. He was an avid Red Sox fan, but his family, especially his grandchildren, were most important to him. Tom is survived by his wife Louise (Henry) Lawler; two sons: Christopher Lawler and his wife Elizabeth of Southampton, and Timothy and his fiancé Melissa of South Hadley; a daughter Charlene Cosper; his grandchildren: Marissa, Ryan, Katherine, Morgan, Elliot, and Adriana; one great grandchild, Bryce; three siblings: Mary Chyz (Douglas), Edward Lawler, and Patricia O’Donnell (Robert); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Tucker. The funeral will be held on Wednesday May 5 at 10:00am in Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street, Holyoke, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours are Tuesday May 4 from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
