Thomas J. McMahon, age 91, of Holyoke, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Thomas J. and Nora (Leary) McMahon and was educated in the local schools. Tom was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, attaining the rank of Corporal. He enjoyed a long career as a Union Brick Mason, working for several area companies, including AR Green and Daniel O’Connell’s Sons Inc. Tom was a communicant of Saint Jerome Church in Holyoke. He was the widower of Noreen E. (Kennedy) McMahon, his beloved wife of 60 years who predeceased him on February 7, 2015. Tom is survived by four daughters: Atty. Katherine McMahon of Holyoke, Eileen McMahon of Holyoke, Noreen Dupont and husband Jeffrey of NC, and Nancy Keenan of Holyoke. Tom was a cherished grandfather to Heaney and her husband Ed, Brian and his wife Becky, Andrew and his wife Kelly, Peter and his partner Marianne, Margaret and Nathanial; Beloved great-grandfather to Connor, Oliver, Thomas, Elizabeth and Lucas and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary McMahon and Claire Maki, and an infant brother Joseph McMahon. A Funeral Mass and burial will be announced at a later date.
