Timothy P. O'Rourke

Timothy P. O’Rourke, aged 50, unexpectedly passed away in his home in West Springfield, on April 18, 2022. Tim was born on August 5, 1971 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to James M. and Ann M. O’Rourke.   Tim was a kind, sweet, gentle respectful, thoughtful soul with a huge, sometimes warped sense of humor and an even bigger heart. Tim was pre-deceased by his parents James M. and Ann M. O’Rourke.   He leaves behind his wife, Brenda O’Rourke (Baran), his two stepsons, Liam and Aidan O’Brien, his brother Stewart R. Callahan and his wife Maureen, his brother James M. O’Rourke, his sister Jamie Seklecki and her husband Fred; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Cindy and David Baran; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Melissa and Gregg Stenwick, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Tim was the happiest at home, hanging out in the garage, floating in the pool, playing his guitar, naming the bunnies in the yard, and enjoying the famous shed bar. He adored his wife Brenda and his stepsons Liam and Aidan. Brenda never knew where the dinner conversation would go with her three boys, but it always included some kind of inappropriate joking taking place… or maybe some of Tim’s creative artwork on pizza boxes. He quietly suffered from a lot of loss in his life.  He mostly kept it to himself.  Now his passing is our loss. He was good friend, brother, stepdad and husband. He touched us all. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully being accepted for a fund for his two stepsons.  Tim always wanted to be able to help provide for the boys.  He was honored to be a part of their lives.  Nothing would make him happier than to know part of his legacy is to help them with their future goals.  Donations can be made on Venmo to the following Venmo account:  @brendaorourke04.  All funds will be transferred into a bank account being set up for the boys to use for future schooling expenses. Calling hours will be held Friday, April 22nd from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
