Tommie E. Hash Obituary

Tommie E. Hash passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024 with family by his side. He was born in Fox, Virgina son of the late William E. and Florence (Halsey) Hash and was educated in Virgina schools. Tom enlisted in the Army at 18. He served as Private First Class in the Korean War and was stationed in Guam, finishing his tour in Alaska. After his tour, Tom was stationed at Westover Airforce Base where he met his wife of 71 years, Constance (Wagner). After his honorable discharge in 1951, Tom worked for Chase & Coolidge- retiring after 41 years as the Manager of Purchasing & Operations.

You could always catch Tom with a Coors Light. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan; loved cleaning his pool and maintaining his lawn; was very proud of his grandchildren, and loved his great-grandchildren more than anything.

Tom is predeceased by his wife, Constance (Wagner) Hash. He is survived by his sons, William Hash and James (Tammy) Hash; grandchildren: Peter (Nicole) Hash, Brian Hash, Jackie (Ian) Guenette, and Steve (Katie) Hash; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Sydney, and Brody Hash, Isabelle and Amelia Guenette, Riley and Conall Hash, Brooks and Avery Hash, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Tom is predeceased by his daughter, Debra Hash, and his siblings: Eva, Annie, Hazel, Mamie, Earl, Hillary, Troy, Clayton and Emmitt. Tom's family would like to thank the Mercy Life PACE program, especially Kristen and Lisa, and Legacy Hospice, especially Joanna, Beverly and Melanie.

A Prayer Service will be held for Tommie on Thursday, December 12th at 9:50 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by committal with U.S. Army honors at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
